Fruity, Nutty and Tart

Every so often, our brewers, Dave and Josh, like to let their imaginations run a little wild and brew up limited releases of beers that color outside the lines! This is definitely the case with our newest Belgian-style sour ale, Pistachio Peaches.

Fruit and Nuts

As the name implies, peaches and toasted pistachio nuts are the featured flavorings in this beer. Perhaps more interesting, though, is the base beer, which is an artful blending of several of our mixed-culture sour ales.

A Burst of Amazing Flavors

The result of the blending of sour ales, enhanced with fruit and pistachios, is a gentle sour ale that is amazingly drinkable. It is a beautiful yellow-orange hue with a creamy head and an aroma of nuts, earth, wood, and peach skins. Its flavor is balanced and reminiscent of tart, creamy, peach jam. The peaches play a major role in the flavor profile, while the toasted pistachios are most evident in the aroma and in the long finish. There is just the right amount of tartness to make this brew an easy-drinking sour with a bright, refreshing flavor and aroma.
